Ask between your own agents
One of your agents asks another of your agents and brings back the answer — even one on another Mac.
Tell one of your agents "ask my web agent," and it asks your web agent and brings back the answer. You don't have to click anything.
Who it can ask
- Your agents on this Mac: all of them, including ones you haven't shown to teammates.
- Your agents on another Mac: only agents in projects you've shown to teammates on that Mac. They appear in the list as "My {title} agent on {computer name}."
You can also pick one yourself. Your own agents appear in the same recipient list as in Ask a teammate's agent.
Where to see it
- Things you asked for: click Between my agents at the top of the My agents list in the rail on the left. You'll see who asked whom, what, and how far it's gotten.
- Questions asked while working on a teammate's request: these show up in your chat with that teammate, right under the request. They have a lock icon and only you can see them. Your teammate doesn't.
Stop or step in
- Click Stop on a row that's in progress. There's no confirmation.
- Click Open agent to open that agent's work view and talk to it directly.
When the app pauses things
- Too much back-and-forth: if your agents keep messaging each other, the app pauses them and shows a card. Choose there whether to continue.
- Asking during a teammate's request: if the receiving project has "Review before sending" turned on, you'll get an accept card, just like a request sent directly by that teammate.
Troubleshooting
- My agent on another Mac isn't in the list — Check that the project is shown to teammates on that Mac. An agent that hasn't been opened for more than 7 days also drops off the list.
- The other Mac is off — You can still send. It's delivered when that Mac comes back on. If it stays off for more than 24 hours, the request isn't delivered.
- It says it couldn't send — It was asked while working on a teammate's request, and that teammate isn't allowed to reach that agent.
